THE FUTURE OF MAGIC TODAY
Magically appearing on the scene, 17-year old Ben Proos goes from strength to strength winning numerous prestigious awards in the world of magic.
In July of 2011 Ben was awarded the coverted title of the Magic Circles young magician of the year, of which winners invariably go on the have successful careers in show business. He won the award with a commanding 10-minute performance of sleight-of-hand effects on stage in front of an audience of 300.
He became fascinated with magic through the Conjuring Club at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Blackburn. Under the tutelage of English teacher Brian Lead who is a member of the Inner Magic Circle and who runs the club, Ben has honed his craft to a high standard in the weekly sessions, and taken his art onto a professional level which is now sustained.
Magic is a labour of love, Ben spends every available minute rehearsing his sleight of hand, perfecting the skilled techniques used by the experts. His enthusiasm has been further enhanced by professional coaching and advice of British Magic Champion Shaun McCree from Burnley.
